Muscle Testing Technique
Applied kinesiology, more commonly known as muscle testing, is a method of allowing the subconscious mind to communicate its needs through the body. Noticing the response of the body when particular foods, vitamins, herbs or medications are held, can help identify vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Muscle tests are used in order to monitor physiologic responses to a physical, chemical or mental stimulus.
There are several common methods. We recommend this one because it is the easiest to perform without any prior experience with kinesiology.
How to Perform a Self-Test
Before performing a muscle test on yourself it is important to make sure you are not dehydrated. Dehydration could affect the accuracy of your test.
Begin by standing up straight, placing your feet slightly apart and even with your shoulders. Breathe, relax and still your mind as much as possible.
Say out loud, "Reveal to me only that which is true for me now."
Then ask, "What is yes?" Notice how your body responds. Does it lean forward or backward?
Now ask, "What is no?" Notice how your body moves leans forward or backward.
Your body will most likely lean forward or backward. Most people tend to lean forward for "yes". But, occasionally someone will lean backward for "yes".
Now that your subconscious mind has a way to physically communicate you can try testing various foods, vitamins, medicines and other substances to judge your body's reaction to them.
A good question to ask concerning something you intend to ingest or use to help support your health is this:
"Will this support the highest functioning of all the parts of my body?"
When questioning the proper amount ask:
"What is the optimum amount my body can can use now?"
